I have 4 budgies as well as a Nanday conure I found that the animal planet animal help books are great for pointers. You could always try bait training by just rewarding your bird for being calm when you stick your hand inside of his cage. it's best to use a tempting treat in your palm around feeding time, make sure you remove all toys and food from your birds cage beforehand.
