		<description>I really think African Greys and Amazons are comparable in their talking ability.
I wouldn&#039;t say African Greys are necessarily the absolute BEST in the bird world.
Amazons are, I feel, nose-to-nose with the african grey.

I would think the breeds that you shouldn&#039;t select based on their ability to talk would be: Parrotlets, Lovebirds, Cockatiels and Budgies.

While some do learn a few words or catch phrases here and there, most of their abilities lie in mimicking whistles and tunes, not necessarily repeating words.

PS: Just because AGs and Amazons or any other species are historically known for the ability to mimick human speech doesn&#039;t mean the parrot you get will EVER talk, or talk extensively.</description>
